Transforming Rubber and Silicone Processing: UTH Presents Cutting-Edge Solutions at International Elastomer Conference

UTH GmbH unveils an expanded product range for gentle, reliable and sustainable rubber processing at DKT 2024

FULDA/GERMANY. From September 9–12, 2024, UTH GmbH will showcase its expanded portfolio for economic and particularly gentle processing of rubber and silicone at the International Elastomer Conference (IEC) in Pittsburgh. This year marks the first time the IEC is co-located with the Silicone Expo, with the aim of achieving synergies. The team of UTH North America Inc. will be at Booth 320, presenting the proven modular roll-ex® Gear Pump Technology as well as Fine Mesh Straining solutions and innovations for the mixing of silicone rubber and elastomers, all of which set new standards.

In an ever-evolving industry that emphasizes quality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency, there is a growing demand for new technologies that enable gentle and process-safe material handling. For nearly four decades, UTH GmbH from Fulda, Germany, has been a leader in the international market with its Fine Mesh Straining solutions, ensuring the highest quality standards while promoting sustainable production. Continuous advancements allow their customers to meet the increasing demands of the rubber and silicone industry. Examples include the new machine generation based on the Dual Drive concept, the resource-saving Two-Roll Plasticizer (TRP) for reprocessing rework material or continuous milling and prewarming in rubber processing, and efficient, reliable silicone compounding solutions like our latest MDSE as an integrated solution for batch-mixing and discharging.

UTH’s pioneering developments offer a wide range of applications in various fields, with the modular roll-ex® system – depending on the requirement – combined with innovative feeding units. These include the two-roll feeding unit (TRF), the single-screw extruder (SF), and the conical twin-screw extruder (DSE). Based on this DSE technology, the company offers innovations specifically developed for mixing, extruding and and fine mesh straining of silicone compounds. These solutions ensure flawless surface quality and material homogeneity, which are increasingly in demand.

Julia Uth, President of UTH North America Inc., emphasizes, “IEC is the premier event where the best in our industry meet annually to share knowledge and discover new innovations. The merging of the IEC and Silicone Expo offers advantages to our company, giving us the opportunity to showcase our sustainable solutions and technological expertise in both rubber and silicone processing. This unified event will grant visitors enhanced access to a wider array of innovations, while offering exhibitors like us increased visibility and a valuable networking platform.”

At the booth of UTH North America Inc., visitors can learn more about the various applications and custom-tailored solutions of UTH GmbH, made possible through the modular roll-ex® system. Further information is available at www.uth-northamerica.com.
