The focus will be on innovative technology designed to ensure the processability of new material developments, setting new benchmarks in process performance. Modern tire compounds, characterized by extremely high viscosities and very high tackiness, impose increasing demands on processing technology. UTH\u2019s solutions ensure reliable processing of these materials and contribute to meeting critical quality and performance requirements of next-generation tires. In addition, UTH\u2019s roll-ex\u00ae fine mesh straining solutions address material quality at their raw material source and have proven their value under steadily increasing cost pressure. They reduce scrap and sustainably improve quality and efficiency in tire manufacturing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fine mesh straining solutions for demanding quality requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The roll-ex\u00ae fine mesh straining technology, widely adopted in the tire industry, has been continuously developed over many years and is used worldwide. Thanks to its modular design, the roll-ex\u00ae system &#8211; based on the patented roll-ex\u00ae gear pump combined with either a two-roll feeder (TRF), single-screw extruder (SF), or conical twin-screw extruder (DSE) &#8211; can be easily integrated into a wide range of production line concepts. At the same time, it enables gentle inline straining with throughputs of up to 10,000 kg\/h, meeting the highest quality standards in tire manufacturing. This flexibility enhances the efficiency and productivity of mixing lines while delivering measurable quality improvements for masterbatches and final compounds and enabling the reliable straining of natural rubber raw materials.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TRP technology for high-performance tire compounds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Two-Roll Plasticizer (TRP) technology developed by UTH closes the gap between conventional batch mixing and continuous processing. TRP technology enables continuous milling for the processing of new, complex tire compounds that, due to extremely high viscosity and exceptional tackiness, often reach the limits of conventional processing methods. As a result, this process technology makes an important contribution to meeting the increasing performance requirements of modern tires<strong>,<\/strong> particularly regarding rolling resistance, grip and emissions<strong>. <\/strong>The continuous milling process supports multiple applications in the material-gentle further processing of tire compounds including re-milling and preheating to reduce viscosity, efficient blending as well as the resource-saving processing of rework material.<\/p>\n<p>Another key advantage of TRP technology is the gentle homogenization of the compounds, allowing viscosity to be lowered with precise control without causing physical changes or affecting curing behavior.
