CONTINUOUS MILLING WITH TRP TECHNOLOGY
Designed for the most demanding tyre formulations, continuous milling with UTH TRP technology delivers gentle homogenisation and precise viscosity control. It helps manufacturers achieve the high performance standards required for today’s tyres, including improved rolling resistance, grip and sustainability.
The Two-Roll Plasticizer (TRP) technology processes highly viscuous, tacky compounds with ease and insures uniform compound quality. Pre-warming, re-milling and blending take place in a fully automated encapsulated process while all surfaces are easy accessible for cleaning. This process fills a gap in the mixing room.
The TRP-technology is a ressource-saving technology for economical processing of rubber materials. Unvulcanized rubber is processed continuously and particularly gentle. High viscosity slab can easily be blended and prewarmed.
TRP technology has established itself in the tyre industry as an alternative solution for the processing of rework materials at low temperatures.
Continuous Milling based on UTH Two-Roll Plasticizer (TRP) technology has progressed to an established solution for defined application areas in rubber processing.
Viscosity reduction is achieved without major physical change. Unlike an internal mixer, even very sticky compounds can be processed.
During the fully automated process, a mechanically induced transformation occurs in the nip of the homogenization zone in which the material is plasticised and homogenised with low temperature increase and high level of homogeneity. All areas are easily accessible for cleaning during compound changeovers.
The system includes features such as slab feeders, cutters, metal detectors, weighing equipment, an optional integrated Fine Mesh Strainer and various discharge dies.
